The forewings are deep chocolate brown with a purple iridescence. The apical fourth of the wing is almost solid blackish fuscous. There are three blackish-fuscous spots in the cell and another similar spot at the basal third. The hindwings are fuscous.〔(Proc. U.S. Nat.
